Who this policy applies to

This policy covers your interactions with HelloHired, operated by Sabrena Alvin (based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States). It applies to visitors of hellohired.net, applicants to any HelloHired program including The Landing, clients of any coaching engagement, and anyone who otherwise communicates with HelloHired through email, phone, or scheduling tools.

What information we collect

Information you give us directly

• Your name, email address, and phone number when you apply to The Landing, book a Clarity Call, purchase a Teardown, or contact us
• Your answers to application questions, including career situation, professional level, and cohort fit
• Payment information when you enroll in a paid offer (processed through Stripe; we don't store card numbers)
• Anything else you choose to share in emails, forms, or during coaching sessions

Information collected automatically

• Standard web analytics such as browser type, device, and referral source (through Netlify hosting)
• UTM tracking parameters if included in the URL you clicked to reach us
• Basic anti-spam signals through Netlify Forms

What we do not collect

We do not track you across other websites. We do not sell your data to advertisers. We do not use behavioral advertising cookies. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

How we use your information

• To respond to your application, inquiry, or purchase
• To deliver the coaching, cohort, or resource you asked for
• To send you follow-up communication about services you engaged with
• To send occasional updates about future HelloHired offers (you can opt out anytime)
• To improve HelloHired's website, offers, and communication
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

Who we share information with

HelloHired uses trusted third-party services to run the business. Your information is shared with them only as needed to deliver services to you:

• Netlify hosts hellohired.net and processes form submissions
• Google Workspace handles our email (sabrena@hellohired.net)
• Stripe processes payments for paid offers
• Calendly handles appointment scheduling for Clarity Calls and discovery calls
• Zoom hosts live coaching sessions
• GroupMe hosts cohort community for The Landing participants

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if legally required to do so, or to protect the rights and safety of HelloHired, our clients, or the public.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as necessary to provide services and meet legal obligations:

• Application data: retained for up to 12 months if not accepted, indefinitely if you become a client
• Client and financial records: retained for at least 7 years for tax purposes
• Email communications: retained per Google Workspace default retention
• Marketing subscribers: retained until you unsubscribe

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Ask what personal information we have about you
• Correct information that's inaccurate
• Delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Opt out of marketing communications at any time
• Object to certain uses of your information
• Request a copy of your information in portable format

California residents (CCPA)

If you live in California, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected about you, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any "sale" of your information. HelloHired does not sell personal information.

Residents of the EU, UK, and other GDPR-covered regions

If you live in a region covered by the General Data Protection Regulation, you have additional rights including the right to object to processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing your information is your consent (when you fill out forms), our contract with you (when you're a client), and our legitimate interest in running the business.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure HTTPS on all pages, reputable third-party providers (Stripe, Netlify, Google) with strong security practices, and limited access to your data. No online service can guarantee complete security, but we take this seriously.

Cookies and similar technologies

HelloHired uses minimal cookies. Netlify may set cookies for basic hosting and anti-spam purposes. If we add analytics tools in the future, we'll update this policy and give you a way to opt out.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes to our services, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be posted at the top of this page with a new "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may email active clients directly.
